Attending an amazing activity

Booking Policy

When you place a booking for an Amazing activity on our website you are entering into an agreement. We agree to send you on an Amazing activity run by an Amazing older person. You agree to pay for this experience, attend and become more amazing as a result.

Sometimes things happen however, and this policy outlines what we will do in the case of such problems, and what you agree to do in return:

Adverse weather

In the case of adverse weather, activities or events may be cancelled. If the Amazing is unable to get to the venue and therefore cancels the activity, you are entitled to a full refund minus an admin fee of 5%.

Should you be unable to attend an activity due to adverse weather conditions, but the event still goes ahead, you will not be entitled to a refund.

It’s before the event and I know I won’t be able to make it…

Get in touch with us ASAP at info@theamazings.com or on 020 7490 4573. If we can't find an alternative for you, and you get in touch 7 days before a class, or 14 days before a course, we will refund you the full amount of your booking. No sweat.

It’s the day of the event and I can’t make it…

Please give us, or the Amazing as much notice as possible. You can email info@theamazings.com to inform us that you can’t make the event or phone the contact number on your booking confirmation. Unfortunately, cancellations at such short notice cannot be refunded. If the event goes ahead, the venue, Amazing, equipment, materials and catering will still be paid for based on the amount of bookings received. Please ensure you can make the event before purchasing a ticket to avoid disappointment.

I’m running late for my activity, help!

Please call the number on your booking confirmation to let us know. In most cases, it won’t be a problem. If you’re attending a walking tour or street photography for example, you may need to catch the group up. We recommend printing a little map of the surrounding area prior to the event or charge your smart phone so you can Google it, if the group has moved on from the starting venue.

I can’t find the venue

We ensure all our activities and venues are clearly displayed on the website, with a map where possible. Please ensure you are sure that you are going to the right place prior to leaving your house! If you really are lost, just call the number on your booking confirmation and someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

The event is cancelled by the Amazing or ourselves

In rare circumstances an event may have to be cancelled due to The Amazing being unable to run it. In this instance we will aim to give you as much notice as possible and will transfer your booking to the next available date for that particular event. Should there be no available date for a future event, we will credit you with the full amount of the ticket price to be claimed against any Amazing events and activities.

Can I transfer my booking to another person?

Yes, absolutely. As long as you give us 24 hours notice by email at info@theamazings.com or by calling us on 020 7490 4573.

I booked the wrong event by mistake, what do I do?

Get in touch! We’ll happily help you transfer your booking to the right event. Email info@theamazings.com as soon as you realise or call us on 0207 490 4573 and one of the team will help you out.

I booked but received an error message - what do I do?

If possible, take a screen grab and email it to info@theamazings.com with your name and which event you are trying to book. If you receive a confirmation email from either The Amazings or Paypal, this usually means your booking has been received. However, please still get in touch to double check and one of the team will make sure all is hunky-dory.

I don’t have a Paypal account…

This isn’t a problem, as you can still enter your credit or debit card details through the Paypal powered payment system on our website.

I have a gift certificate or discount code, how to book?

You lucky thing. Give the team a call on 020 7490 4573 or email info@theamazings.com with the reference or discount code and which course you’d like to attend and we’ll put the booking through for you.

Gift certificates can be bought on the website or by calling the team. Gift certificates are valid for 6 months, with a minimum certificate of £10, increasing in £5 amounts thereafter.

Do you do group bookings?

We sure do! We take group bookings for all events on the website. Just select the number of tickets you’d like to book when placing your order. If you’d like to hire The Amazings for a work do, corporate event, hen/stag do, birthday party or just because, please get in touch with the team at info@theamazings.com and we’ll be able to send you details of all the packages available.

Privacy Policy

The Amazings take your privacy incredibly seriously. Please read the following to understand how we look after your data and protect your privacy when joining our community.

Registering on our website

When registering on our website you will need to provide us with a valid email address, your full name and set a password. We will not share this information with any third parties unless you give us your express consent.

It’s your responsibility to look after your username and password. Should you need to reset your password for any reason, click the ‘forgot password’ link on the login area of the website, www.theamazings.com

Signing up to our newsletter

When signing up to our email newsletter, you are consenting to receive regular emails from The Amazings about upcoming activities, news and related information. We will never knowingly spam you and we will not share your details with any third parties without your express consent.

If you do not wish to remain on the newsletter, please unsubscribe using the ‘unsubscribe’ button within the email. If you’re signed up but are not receiving the newsletters, please check your spam filters and ensure you have set info@theamazings.com as a safe sender.

Intellectual Property

All photos, images, graphics, text and video on www.theamazings.com and associated websites belong to The Amazings Social Business Ltd and are not to be distributed, copied, used blah blah blah without express written permission. If you would like to use any of our content, please email info@theamazings.com and tell us what you’d like to use and where you’d like to use it. This does not apply to intellectual property and media supplied in our press packs, which is suitable for distribution according to the attribution guidelines laid out in the press pack.

Community guidelines

The Amazings endeavor to create a respectful, friendly and honest environment, both online and offline. Please take the time to read our community guidelines to ensure you have an Amazing and enjoyable experience.

Be kind and respectful to everyone in the community. Share the intelligence, wisdom, enthusiasm and joy we know you all have.

Do not use obscene, derogatory, sexist, homophobic, racist or hateful language. This type of language will not be tolerated and The Amazings reserves the right to remove any such language from online communities and suspend users from our communities and activities if they participate in this type of unnecessary conduct.

Do not spam communities or users with any kind of material. The Amazings reserves the right to delete spam and suspend any user who is deemed to have spammed. Fritters are always welcome.

Ensure you own the rights to any content you share with The Amazings communities.

Content includes photos, videos, text and descriptions. Please attribute content correctly. The Amazings reserves the right to remove any content which may put us in legal jeopardy, such as potentially libelous or defamatory postings or content posted which is in breach of copyright.

The Amazings welcomes debate and discussion but personal attacks (on users, Amazings or staff), persistent trolling and mindless abuse will not be tolerated.
