Librarian by profession, crafter by inclination, 3 sons grown, not yet flown.

I have been an au pair, a tea lady, civil servant, insurance clerk and spent a year in Uganda. After doing an OU degree when my children were little, I became and remain (at the moment) a librarian.

I have a passion for art, architecture, theatre and flamenco. I have always enjoyed making things but am most definitely not an "artist" hence my love of making altered books...I saw my first one at an exhibition about four years ago and was knocked out by the whole idea of them.

I think The Amazings is, well, pretty amazing really. The idea of passing on something that you love doing to others is very appealing to me. The most interesting and useful things I have learnt in my life have come from others.
