I’m originally from Barcelona and have been creating, painting and crocheting for many years. I love lots of colour and I enjoy incorporating new materials and techniques into my art.

When I moved to Mile End 23 years ago, I started to create colourful mosaic pots and tiles in my garden. After a stressful day, smashing plates to use in my mosaic designs is very therapeutic! The downside to creating outdoor mosaics in Britain is the weather, so I often have to work quickly to finish before the rain comes.

I love to paint old pieces furniture and I have studied woodwork, designing and making a chair. I am not a fan of shabby chic though, I like to give the furniture a new lease of life.

Crochet is an important part of my life. I can’t even remember when I started crocheting but I can do it without thinking now, often crocheting whilst I watch TV. It was very fashionable in the 60s and I used to make and sell crocheted clothes for a boutique.
