Learn the art of 'Working with Clay' in this 4 session course with Mandee.

What will you do?

The first 3 sessions will focus on hand building techniques, including coiling, pinching out a pot, press moulding and slab building. You will also learn how to apply a surface pattern, incising and sgraffito techniques.

After leaving your pieces to dry and be fired by Mandee, you will paint and glaze your pieces in the final session. PLEASE NOTE: There will be a small charge of a few pounds for paint and glazes, calculated by quantity used.

You can expect to make at least 1 main piece and 2 smaller pieces, including pots, vases, bowls, oil burners, or sculptural work. You need to bring overalls or an apron and wear old clothes. Make sure you can also roll up your sleeves!

Who is it for?

This course is open to both complete beginners and those with previous pottery experience. Those with more experience can work with Mandee on a project to suit your level.
